SHINE ✨ Our unit manager tasked 2 of our student nurses with completing a mock SHINE walk round They inspected the cleanliness of the unit, information available to our patients and more 🧼📊 They fed this back to our unit manager to help us with future improvements 🔝

To tie in with LD awareness week Urgent Treatment Centre @ TGH received a small but mighty box from the Focus support team, RMCH 💪🏼 (who also gave us tips for a sensory box, Thankyou!) This box contains useful tools for pts such as ear defenders, then + now boards, emotion boards &cue cards 👏🏻

Ruth has recently commenced the role of PBE for UTC. Today was her 1st day. She got stuck right in- organising mandatory training, training staff on medical devices, sorting out cluttered files and ensuring our Triage nurses PGDs were up to date (&more!!) What a busy 🐝

Our silver accreditation certificate was presented to us today by our Head of Nursing Karen Moore & Elliot Taylor Well done to our whole team for their continued high standards of care 👏🏻🥈

In Sept our unit’s BCMA compliance for scanning patients was 74%. We recognised the reason for this was overrides in triage & launched an IQP With IT solutions (a fixed scanner) we are now at… 93%! Well done team…now for 100% 💯 Karen Moore rachel flatley Elliot Taylor

After a month long competition the Green team (managed by Sister Fely) have won the mandatory training with 100% compliance!!! Easter eggs and bragging rights as their much deserved prize! Eggsellent effort team👏🏻🏆🥇
