🧬 PCR WORKSHOPS | We recently hosted nearly 400 Higher and AH pupils from 10 schools in the Glasgow City Council area & beyond. The pupils leaned about #virology, genetic #sequencing the applications of DNA technology. They even performed their own #PCR! Well done to everyone involved!

Using biophysics and molecular virology we show that the RNA binding activity of TRIM25 is as important as its E3 ubiquitin ligase for its antiviral function. Exciting news from #RNAUK2024! Wael Kamel delivered a talk on nuclear RBPs during alpha virus infections. Azman Embarc won a poster prize for unravelling PURA's role in HIV-1 infection. Zaydah and Rozeena presented posters on RNA-protein interactions. Kudos to our amazing team!
