I first met Geoff in 2009 at inquest of Danny McIlhone -abducted Dublin 1981, killed, buried Co. Wicklow. Geoff & colleagues would later find bodies of others killed, hidden during the Troubles. 4 remain unfound. Geoff Knupfer has done this island great service. #thedisappeared

Limerick City and County Council failed to release to us, under FOI, the minutes for the meeting at which Niall Collins voted to dispose of council land. After repeated phone calls, emails and finally a suggestion The Ditch boys attend their offices, the council had to relent.

I am currently researching and writing a book on the women of Ennis Cumann na mBan which will focus on their lives before, during and after the revolutionary period. I would love to talk to the relatives of these women to bring their stories out of the shadows....

Cumann na mBan were women who fought in the Irish War of Independence (1919-21). They were a key part of the fight but generally ignored in the new misogynistic theocratic State they helped liberate. Recently historians have begun righting that.
