Amazing to see both Staghorn and Elkhorn acropora #corals starting to come back in Bonaire reefs after they were all but wiped out!

I had a super enjoyable but intense month in September doing my PADI #DiveMaster Training in Cornwall straight after finishing my Marine Environmental Management MSc (U of Exeter) masters degree! I can’t wait to get my final dive done in a couple of weeks to get signed off!

I’m currently on my first trip to the Red Sea with the Red Sea Project and so far it has not disappointed! Two more weeks of turtle monitoring, coral surveying and more to come!

3 highly protected marine areas established in England today. The 1038km2 of protection is 60x more than we have, but 70x less than we need, which is 30% of the sea highly protected. At the present rate, it will take us 260 years to reach this level. Welcome news but way too slow

We all think we're rational human beings. So let's put that to a test in a little thread, with sources. This is for those who are in a terrible tizz right now, and think Gary Lineker is actual Satan. 🧵
