There's no better way to learn an important and inspiring part of our history than to visit Harriet Tubman's home in Auburn, NY. It was amazing to walk the land and experience her whole, real person-ness with my friends and family.

So much fun to present at the NACRJ conference in D.C. with my RJ writer posse, Lindsey Pointer and Dayna Lorentz. We got to spend a whole workshop with other RJ folks who are also book lovers! What an absolute treat to hang with all of you.

As a fiction writer, I’m a little offended that you can’t make this stuff up.
