Stoked my vinyl copy of Alain Peters’ “Rest’ La Maloya” from Les Disques Bongo Joe came in!! He brings a curious oddball Nick Drake-like twist to the earthy and unique maloya folk music from the island of Réunion. Essential record!!

The new Andy Shauf is excellent as usual. The vocals on “Telephone” are particularly inspiring.

Secret Stratosphere dropped in its entirety today and it is just brilliant. The live band experience of these tunes is exhilarating. And it was recorded in my birth state of Alabama, which makes it all the more meaningful. Bravo william tyler & The Impossible Truth!
