It’s really wild reading how US news outlets report on prison conditions elsewhere, as if solitary confinement, prison labor, psychological torment, and *checks notes* death by firing squads don’t exist here

It's funny the Jewish community is being accused of trying to control everything, but I can't remember the last time a Jewish person tried to force their religion on me, or govern the country based on what THEY believe in.

Here’s the thing: over the last few years, both anti-Black and antisemitic violence have been on the rise. As has all violence against marginalized groups.

If this ain’t a clear indication that our fates are bound up with one another’s, I don’t know what is.

There is legitimately personal reflection to be done if you are white and Kanye’s anti-Blackness was an afterthought.

But the lesson there isn’t competition. The lesson there is that when Anti-Blackness is allowed to persist, antisemitism is a most sure to follow.

It is possible and absolutely necessary for us to have a conversation on how we ensure that *none* of these forms of systemic oppression are profitable or permissible without turning on other oppressed people.

The real enemy wins when we do that.

White supremacy would very much love for Black and Jewish people to turn *on each other* - and also ignore the existence of Black Jews!- instead of us fighting its systems.

Anti-Blackness and antisemitism are both enemies of our freedom and they thrive with one another. Focus.
