Update on our water system amid the current frigid temperatures. We’re holding strong. Be safe and vigilant, everyone.

Update on our water system. There have been a number of breaks and leaks due to the drastic drop in temperature. We’re deeply grateful for the crews out on Christmas morning braving frigid temperatures and working to restore pressure to our residents.

We are continuing water distribution efforts for our residents in need. If you are unable to make it to a distribution site, please dial 311 or 601-960-1875.

Update on our water system: Significant amount of water being pushed out from the plant, but several leaks caused by frigid temps are causing continued low pressure. Please report any leaks by calling 311, 601-960-1111, or 601-960-1875. Crews are still working diligently.

I have issued a local state of emergency due to the ongoing issues with water pressure caused by the extreme winter weather. Please continue to report leaks. Crews are working hard to isolate the issues and restore pressure.

We are continuing water distribution to support residents experiencing low pressure. Here are today’s distribution sites. If you are unable to make it to a site, please call 601-960-1875.

This is a temporary and imperfect solution, but we ask that you assist us in spreading the word to our residents about this residential trash collection resource. Know that we are exhausting every possibility to secure a garbage collection vendor as soon as possible.
