Another interesting question (not my own) is to ask: if part of being Roman (whatever that is) is a Roman material culture, then would you be able to tell where the empire ended by looking at a map of coin finds alone?

One of the orange dots in south India represents this hoard. Was found during construction of HAL airport. Wonder where they are now.
