Client reactions are noticeable different when you describe their returns in $ instead of %. 20% does not have the same feeling as being up $100,000.

A friend forwarded me an investment idea he received. The third sentence of the e-mail was how he "might" invest in it and he is going to be charging hedge fund like fees to the opportunity to invest (2% management fee and 20% of the profits). Greed is blinding - if you just
