📣 The Scottish Government has spent £750m since 2019 on mitigating the impacts of UK Gov policies like the benefit cap & bedroom tax. 🧮 In the last year alone, £134m has been spent by The SNP gov on mitigating the impact of these policies. 📉 This is the true cost of Westminster rule.

The Independent headline is from Labour’s own research: Let’s not say this is Labour cutting winter fuel payments instead of a wealth tax. It’s Labour prepared to see 4,000 pensioners perish on the altar of capitalism & austerity. Starmer & Reeves are rabid tories.

Russian interference in our election is 2-fold: Moscow wants Donald Trump to be the next president and they want to undercut our faith in American institutions and government. Our enemies want us to turn on each other, sowing distrust is very significant.

I honestly can't tell the difference between Rachel Reeves' policies and those of George Osborne. Both are imposing brutal austerity on the most vulnerable in order to avoid taxing the wealthy. Reeves doesn't even remember what she said to get elected.

Instead of introducing a wealth tax that targets the super rich, Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves are taking the winter fuel allowance away from a 73 year old pensioner with blood cancer #GMB

At some point today someone from Labour is going to say that it's all the fault of 'the SNP' that Labour MPs are voting to cut heating support for pensioners. This is how ridiculous they are becoming....

Today, I will be voting against Labour’s plan to cut winter fuel payments that will affect 1000’s of constituents in Dundee. This is a political choice to follow Tory fiscal rules Remember, Scotland has some of the coldest winters in UK How will your MP vote?

A record number of pupils in Scotland are being taught in schools which are in “good or satisfactory” condition. This has been supported by continued @ScotGov funding for schools, including support for the £2bn Learning Estate Investment Programme. ➡️ bit.ly/3ARSXVa

Kirsty Blackman has called out Anas Sarwar and Scottish Labour MPs for going back on manifesto promises 🗣️ 'Make no mistake this is a political choice'

Both myself & Dundee city council leader Mark Flynn have both written to seek confirmation that the £20 million promised in March to Dundee will go ahead as we still haven’t had any clarity as to how much & when. Projects desperately are at a standstill & Dundee cannot wait

📢 Scotland’s 37 Labour MPs were elected on a promise of no austerity under Labour. ➡️ They could have voted to protect the some of the most vulnerable Scots, stopping the winter fuel payment cut in its tracks. ❌ Instead, they voted to toe the party line and impose the cut.

Labour has blown it already. Two months in. What a waste of hope & belief for the millions who banked on them. What they’re doing is so damaging to democracy. If voters fled the Tories, only to get this ‘Austerity with a Smile’ shit then where else can they go? We store up danger

Today, every single Scottish Labour MP put Party before pensioners. As a result, vital support will be cut for almost 900,000 pensioners in Scotland. Is this really the change people voted for?

Tom French (@tomfrench85) 's Twitter Profile Photo

“I am angered and furious, just as people at home in Scotland will be too, because they sent Labour MPs to Westminster to represent change and get away from Tory austerity - and instead the Labour Party has followed that austerity path” Stephen Flynn MP news.stv.tv/clip/stephen-f…

Anas Sarwar promised voters “read my lips: no austerity under Labour” But Labour MPs in Scotland have voted to end the winter fuel payment for around 860,000 Scottish pensioners. “This is not the change that people in Scotland voted for” Kirsty Blackman
