I've written to Bridget Phillipson asking her to work with me to address the stark educational disparities facing the region. We must take urgent action to address the challenges young people in the East Midlands face.

📺𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗕𝗖 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 Our region's GCSE and A Level results lag well behind the rest of the country. We must close the attainment gap and ensure brighter futures for young people across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

🌳Nottingham's new Green Heart is the latest step in the plans to regenerate the Broad Marsh area, transforming a three-lane traffic choked road to a peaceful pedestrianised area in front of the new Central Library. A real honour to be at today's official opening.

🚌𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 It was great to join Simon Lightwood MP, Nadine Peatfield and Baggy Shanker MP at the launch of the KPMG UK Confederation of Passenger Transport report on better buses. As Mayor, I'm working with bus companies to increase services and routes across the region.
