Important dates for CAO and LC appeals

The CNC Book Club Chairperson Jorja and Vice Chairperson Aoife met today to plan for the year ahead. Jorja and Aoife decided on ‘Rooftoppers’ by Katherine Rundell as the novel for this term. We are so looking forward to welcoming back old members and new next Thursday lunchtime.

Congratulations to CNC 2nd year student Fiadhna Leamy who won 3rd place in the Melodeon 12-15 competition at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford in August.

Today 1st Year students visited Kilcormac Library. Students learned about the benefits of membership and the services the library has to offer. Thanks to @offalylibraries for facilitating our visit.

The Badminton Club had their first meeting of the 2024 season. Judy is delighted with the turn out this year as over 70 students have signed up to play.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our  Drop Everything and Read  event this week. It was incredible to see so many of our students take a break from their busy day to dive into their favourite books.

The CNC Book Club held its first meeting of the year this week with great enthusiasm. Students participated in a lively game of book bingo, setting the tone for a fun and engaging term ahead.

Lunchtime activities are back in full swing this week! With a wide range of options to suit everyone's interests, there’s something in Coláiste Naomh Cormac for every student to enjoy.

Chess club has returned this week! Great to see new and old faces at lunchtime today to enjoy a few games. Chess club will continue during lunch time on Mondays and Wednesdays in Mr. McCabe’s room ♟️

As part of the LOETB Retrofit Rig programme, 5th Year construction students experienced a virtual construction site through VR headsets, offering them an immersive glimpse into the world of construction. ????️

A big well done to all first year girls who togged out for their first training session in CNC. Training continues every Tuesday lunchtime on the camogie pitch. Best of luck to all players for the year ahead.

Congratulations to Faye, Mairéad, Katelyn, Emily & Bláthín who competed in the All-Ireland Final of Community Games last weekend. The girls competed in the Group Music Competition representing Rath-Eglish-Drumcullen area and came home with Bronze medals. Congratulations.

All 5th and 6th year Construction Studies students participated in a specialised NZEB and Retrofitting course this week. The training was delivered on site through the mobile training unit from the National Construction Training Campus in Mount Lucas, in collaboration with LOETB.

A congratulations to our Minecraft Gurus whose submission in Microsoft’s inaugural County Crafters competition placed 1st. The students showcased fantastic skills and creativeness in their project. We’re very proud of their achievement and look forward to their next project!

Today at lunchtime members of Book cCub received their copies of ‘Rooftoppers’. We look forward to meeting again next week to discuss the first three chapters of the novel.
