Here we go… heads up Twin Cities… storms expanding in central MN and these are gonna mean business. Maybe an hour from the far west metro? Secure your place and pull the car in the garage, it could be a long night with 2 rounds of severe weather possible… #mnwx

Peak heat in my backyard today in Burnsville: 92° with an 81° dew point. That’s a heat index of 112° 😳

Storms rolling into the west metro. Appears like the outflow is outrunning the storms… could keep these below severe limits… maybe. Either way, likely to pack a punch. #mnwx

The heat index at MSP Airport hit 103° yesterday. According to climate data, we have roughly a 5% chance of getting that warm this time of year. Interesting to note, areas with higher vegetation near the airport were over 110°. There is less than a 1% chance of that occurring

Quite the cold front expected in the eastern half of the country for late this week. This will give the U.S. a tale of two seasons; the West will still very much feel like summer, but much of the East will get a lil preview to fall...

Just starting to get some color in northeastern MN now, right along the North Shore ridgeline. It usually starts there, but we'll see how fast it can expand with the very warm temps this week. High elevations of the west have started in earnest as well #fallisrightaroundthecorner
