I discussed this article with one of my 2nd year classes, just after one of them revealed that they couldn't tie their laces. Every word rang true.

I teach story structure, the JC and LC curricula demand that I do.
And Films place on the LC (and now JC) used to reinforce this.
Hopefully the new Drama, Film and Theatre course can give alternatives.
