New paper in Nature Communications elucidating the carbon-nitrogen negative feedback loop in cnidarian-algae symbioses. Our findings confirmed the model we proposed first in 2019 and now offer a parsimonious explanation for their repeated evolution. The Coral Symbiomics Lab shorturl.at/ghlsG
Great job, 崔国新 Guoxin Cui! Special thanks to Janing Mi and Salim AlBabili KAUST Center for Desert Agriculture for the fantastic collaboration. Kudos to Red Sea Research Center, KAUST, KAUST Research, and KAUST for the ongoing support! 👏 #CoralSymbiosis
Meet Optimus Prime! 🌟 Our first settled and 'transformed' Aiptasia larvae. Kudos to Thomas W Holstein for paving the way to unlock the full potential of Aiptasia as a model for cnidarian-Symbiodiniaceae symbiosis. Special thanks to Mascha Dix and Ricardo M. Pedraza-Pohlenz for their dedication.
