Star Ascidians (Botryllus schlosseri) - small colonial tunicates that filter their food from surrounding waters. Each 'arm' is an individual and the Star shapes are small colonies. Often predated upon by our local Cowrie species - Trivia monacha and Trivia arctica.

A Broad Clawed Porcelain Crab (Porcellana platycheles) scampering for cover. As their name suggests this species is pretty delicate and will often drop claws or legs when handled. County Clare, Ireland.

This piece of limestone has definitely been burrowed into by some Piddocks (Pholas sp.) - but the pattern is very different to the ones I usually find and I don't know why they haven't touched the lower third?? County Clare, Ireland.
