Today, we welcomed our new teachers to #Cox_Comets . They’re great educators with a mindset of kids first. It’s going to be a great year. Thank you, Madeline Strickland Daulton (she/her) Reagan Habermacher Vickie Clark, for helping me with introductions.

It’s been a busy yet productive week. Thank you, campus admin., kinder teachers, and “Kinder Ex’s” (teachers ) who helped with Kinder Camp. We had a big turnout, and kids had the opportunity to meet many educators. The school year is upon us 😊. #Cox_Comets #1LISD

Summer, and that’s a wrap.I still get anxious and excited the weekend before all staff and teachers return. We have a wonderful week full of PD for staff, fun activities, and time built for them to meet with their teams. This marks the start of year 5th at #Cox_Comets & #1LISD.

Today, we welcomed back over 80 staff members.I’m so excited to see our returning #Cox_Comets & excited to welcome our newest Comets to our campus & #1LISD .We had a day full of learning, play, and fun. We had a great turnout for “Meet The Teacher.” I had an opportunity to connect with new families and connect with returning families. I love how the family and unity feeling are well established at #Cox_Comets in #1LISD. The start of the school year is upon us.

We had the opportunity to take our Leadership Team to Indeed to show the connection between what we do in school is a direct pipeline to the “real world.” Deeper Learning is key. I want to shout out our #Cox_Comets PTA. They have been helping us with morning arrival & afternoon dismissal. We had a lot of rain Friday, and this group was out there with us helping to get students inside and to class. PTA, Thank you for being so supportive.Much appreciated.
