Culinary One is already back in the lab! 🤗Today’s task was to recap what they learned in Intro by demonstrating their egg and knife skills. They made omelettes with sweet peppers cut brunoise, bacon, cheese, and cilantro garnish. 😋

Culinary Two prepared and delivered some Charcuterie goodies today as a “thank you/welcome” gift to kick this year off right!🖤🤍🖤

Culinary One began their Cooking Methods lesson with a Dry Heat vs Moist Heat lab. They prepared the same ingredients utilizing both methods. Tomorrow we will discuss which cooking method was best with each ingredient and what worked/didn’t work.

Day 4: So…see what had happened was…🤣I was halfway into the school day yesterday when my Ss pointed out that I was a day ahead.🤦🏽‍♀️ So, b/c they’re my biggest hype men, they told me to dress up again and post both. ✨ 90s grunge and 70s flower child ✌️🌻💐#AttendanceMatters

In addition to teaching about FOOD, I like to highlight the importance of food for the SOUL. Mental and emotional wellness is a crucial part of the learning experience. We don’t start our day w/o an activity to focus on in that area. Friday we had Show & Tell! It was awesome!😭❤️

Culinary One and Two spent most of this week in the kitchen. Intro had a fruit tasting. Cul One started their International Foods unit with a focus on Italian Cuisine. Cul Two practiced recipes they had written in their Test Kitchen labs. 🖤🔪🍴
