After the 2001 elxn BC personal income taxes were reduced to provide relief to low & middle income earners.  B.C.’s lowest tax bracket (previously 8.4% under the NDP) was by 2012 just over 5%.  Middle income earners who previously paid 12.4% (under the NDP) were cut down to 7.7%.

I was the former Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance and sat on Treasury Board. My name will not be on the ballot this upcoming election but I cannot stand by while the NDP intentionally tries to mislead British Columbians.

This is beyond sad. I send my sincere condolences to this family. Even if this young person was begging for detox treatment voluntarily recent experience has shown me there is nothing but wait lists for publicly funded resources. Not good enough.

Minister, Your press release here does not mention a project completion date. Could you please clarify when this project is expected to be completed? #bcpoli

I disagree. The NDP had years to do this and failed. They actually made this tax more economically harmful when they eliminated revenue neutrality. Eby has no credibility here. This is a desperation policy from a flailing NDP government.

I did not expect USA style fear mongering from the NDP. "In Canada, you know a party is in trouble if abortion comes out as a scare tactic. That the B.C. NDP is using it so early is indicative they know there is a problem in their message and campaign." nationalpost.com/opinion/adam-p…

NDP history was to vehemently oppose the revenue-neutral carbon tax when in opposition. Once in government, the NDP ended revenue neutrality turning the carbon tax into a significant tax grab. On the eve of an election promise to do away with the carbon tax. No credibility.

"What kind of politician takes one position when he’s in power, only to completely reverse it at the last minute to try & win votes?" "What kind of politician calls others weak & cowardly for proposing a change that they then themselves adopt...." theorca.ca/commentary/rob…

"Federal politicization"? With respect let us not forget the first round of NDP carbon tax politicization in the 2008 election: "Carole James says she'll dump B.C.'s carbon gas tax if her New Democrats are elected to government next May." #bcpoli bc.ctvnews.ca/ndp-promises-t…

An accurate statement on Premier Eby. "In short, a classic case of a politician admitting, “If you don’t like these principles, I have others.” vancouversun.com/opinion/column…

Watching Global BC news and was taken aback by what can best be described as the NDP "shock & awe" ad. blitz "strategy". The desperation in spending so much to try to demonize one person tells you where the NDP is really at these days.

Remember what is really happening in our hospitals the next time you see the NDP desperately trying to fabricate fear over abortion access, which is not under threat.

In 2017, NDP Leader John Horgan told those in attendance out front of a closed Tolko lumber mill (in Merritt) that the closure "never would have happened under an NDP government." Now we see how that NDP promise turned out. Badly. As is typically the case with NDP promises.

Dan Ashton (@danashtonbc) 's Twitter Profile Photo

After 7 years, the NDP still has no ideas. That they admit they are still "looking for a path" is an admission of failure. This is the same NDP who promised that if elected, no lumber mills in B.C. would close.
