- US and Ukrainian interests will diverge eventually, probably re: Crimea.
- A reasonable deal probably better than stalemate
- US is an active contributor & should have a say in how the war ends.

This is a great piece by Michael Brendan Dougherty. He effectively makes the case that there isn't a deep well of support for unconditional aid to Ukraine among the American public, despite claims to contrary from the foreign policy blob and some in the foreign policy press.
