The sheer number of Republicans questioning the current U.S. role in the Ukraine conflict is a marked change for a party that has often been led by hawks who have fought to spend more money on military adventures. W/ Yasmeen Abutaleb washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/โ€ฆ

The Biden administration, in anonymous comments and leaked stories like this, comes across as much more critical of Ukraine than their public rhetoric allows. My worry is the rhetoric entraps them and limits flexibility. responsiblestatecraft.org/2022/10/14/theโ€ฆ

William Wohlforth But note the differences I have with others in DC! (not necessarily the admin):

- US and Ukrainian interests will diverge eventually, probably re: Crimea.
- A reasonable deal probably better than stalemate
- US is an active contributor & should have a say in how the war ends.

Leaked documents and court records reveal how the Department of Homeland Security is getting involved in social media content moderation in a big way.

This is not a great way to message a Republican Party that even prior to the Ukraine War was already very skeptical of foreign aid.

There has been a slow drip of stories like this since the late summer where it appears that the Biden Admin is trying to put distance between itself and the Ukrainian government (ex: Dugina assassination). The problem is their previous rhetoric on Ukraine makes it hard to do that

โ€œBiden had barely finished telling Zelenskyy heโ€™d just greenlighted another $1 billion in U.S. military assistance for Ukraine when Zelenskyy started listing all the additional help he needed and wasnโ€™t getting. Biden lost his temper.โ€ nbcnews.com/politics/natioโ€ฆ

The RAAF flew the F111 for decades which was originally designed as a strike [including nuclear strike] aircraft. Can everyone please pull themselves together?

So Adam Kinzinger #fella is trying to smear me for investing in Navalโ€™s AngelList along with Marc Benioff Drew Houston Benchmark and many others.

Everyone in Silicon Valley instantly understands how ridiculous this is.

Kinzinger & NAFO have shown you who they are. Listen.

US aid is already > than the rest of the world's combined.

European aid to Ukraine has been paltry even though the conflict's in their backyard.

Europe should stop buck-passing & start taking their security seriously instead of treating a valid U.S. debate like the end-times.

I keep reading that there is no McCarthyism going on regarding the war in Ukraine. Here is what one of the leading advocates of a Russia-US war had to say about skeptics of a never ending flow of aid: nytimes.com/2022/10/26/us/โ€ฆ

This is a great piece by Michael Brendan Dougherty. He effectively makes the case that there isn't a deep well of support for unconditional aid to Ukraine among the American public, despite claims to contrary from the foreign policy blob and some in the foreign policy press.
