Final touches for tomorrow’s National Training Day for our SEM registrars in place hosted by Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre and the Physical Activity Programme. Excited to welcome both the fantastic Dr Jim Kerss Head of SEM at UKIS and the brilliant Dr. Andy Franklyn-Miller a real innovator in the SEM space
The national registrar training day led by Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre and Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK as part of the physical activity clinical champion programme which our SEM registrars have joined as teachers providing physical activity education to healthcare professionals.
The consortium that has taken over the original PHE/OHID physical activity clinical champions peer to peer HCP Education. Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK
The changing of the PACC delivery model now includes universal national network including our new NHS England Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK SEM Registrars as well as place based PA clinical champions to drive PA Education in the NHS - focusing on prevention.
The day finished off with a session from Dr. Andy Franklyn-Miller formerly UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic and currently nutritas discussing leadership, building a healthcare business, entrepreneurship, lessons and more over his career.
