To my friends in the media:
This is a time of high drama, I agree. But while you gossip endlesly about who's in and who's out, you have almost entirely ignored the Public Order Bill that was passed in the Commons this week: the most draconian legislation of the modern era.

Have you noticed?

The back Boris lot are all calling him “boss”

Imagine having such desperately low standards that you’d voluntarily be deferential to a useless, lying prick like Johnson.

Terrible from BBC News (UK) - I had an alert Johnson already had 100 backers an hour ago. Turns out he doesn’t. Shame, shame, shame on the public service broadcaster, funded by license fee payers

Seriously - Resignations are in order. And not only deputy heads should roll

Really hope BigDong returns because when you're heating's off and you can't afford food or pay your rent or mortgage it really cheers you up to hear him saying we are the fastest growing bestest levelling uppers in all the world and there will be 40,000 new hospitals by Tuesday.

The media force feeding us positive images of Johnson is not having the desired effect.

The juxtaposition of his behaviours - which we know too well - with how they portray him just reminds us of the deep corruption in both parliament and the media.

Notice how quickly Johnson corrodes the fabric of politics. Does he have 100 backers or is it a lie? Either could be true. You never know, because you operate on the assumption that he lies as easily as he breathes.

MPs supporting Johnson after all he has done, may as well be signing a confession for aiding and abetting the most corrupt PM we have ever experienced.

“Johnson is the best candidate because he terrifies the left”.

Yes. He does. Because he is a corrupt narcissist who doesn’t give a f*ck about anyone but himself.

For the sane among us, he is a terrifying prospect for leading us through a cost of living and NHS crisis!

Why are so many Tory MP’s backing a Johnson return?
Because they think he might save their seats.
Simple as.
Not because they truly believe he has an honest desire to serve the people or rescue the nation, just… he might save their seats.
It’s Faustian.

How can it be the case (apparently it is) that anybody in the world can join the Tories & affect by their vote, who becomes our PM? With bots out for Johnson, what’s to stop other malign forces - e.g. Russia - continuing to sow yet more instability, as they did with Brexit.

A de-stressing moment of not actually caring who they pick. It doesn’t matter now. They’ve done the damage and they can’t fix it. Inequality will keep worsening. Bills will keep rising. No one will see *any* improvement in public services and they will lose the next election.

As London mayor, Johnson didn't cut his holiday short when rioting erupted in 2011. As prime minister, Johnson didn't cut his holiday short when the Taliban retook Kabul in 2021. But a sniff of a chance of replacing Truss, and he's on the first jet back from the Caribbean.

My patient has lost his job because he’s been waiting > 2 YEARS (so far!) for his hip replacement

His hip is now so bad he’s struggling to even look after himself

This isn’t about people not having patience. NHS waiting lists are costing people their lives & livelihoods!
