Look, I’m just a lowly resident, but how have we not figured out how to safely do daylight savings in the hospital yet? It’s not like it’s a surprise, it literally happens every year.

One of my most favorite things about critical illness science is that - aside from all the usual deep dives into trials and epidemiology and statistics - every once in a while you fall down a 🐇🕳 trying to deeply understand a physiologic reflex.

Help me out ahead of an upcoming talk - as a *clinical* concept, how do you all define 'perfusion'?

Hemodynamics? (eg, adequate blood flow to tissue bed)

O2 delivery? (eg, enough to meet metabolic demand?)

Cell energetics? (eg, enough to maintain key fxns?)

Something else?

Look, NYC will always be my one true love, but London is really like if New York were cooler, better dressed, and had a less abrasive accent.

If your takeaway from the INTUBE study was that propofol use is the single biggest predictor of peri-intubation cardiovascular instability, I might encourage you to read this letter by Jay Crowley and I

Don’t blame the drug - pay attention to the patient
