SHOCKED (not) to see Assisted Dying campaigners pushing to widen the law within a few years of it passing - i.e. dismantle the so-called 'safeguards' they used to justify the law in the first place. And we think they won't do that here? greenleft.org.au/content/victor…

The public doesn’t support ‘assisted dying’ when they know what it means; nor do GPs or doctors who care for the dying; suicide is contagious and rises in AD countries; AD laws have within them the scope for expansion to the chronically ill and disabled. youtu.be/9vc5k43sI1Q

Persons of of faith have been & will be FM. Whether it is a Muslim (Humza) or a Christian (John & Kate). Each support the conscience vote & equal rights for all. So what is it about Kate that makes her the focus of anti-religious attacks? 🤔

Canada legalised AS in 2016 for people with a reasonably foreseeable death. In 2021, it was expanded to those whose death was not reasonably foreseeable. In 2027, it will be legal on mental health grounds alone.

Sunday Times: Josh Glancy writes a considered assessment of what he says is the inevitability of euthanasia “within 5 years.”I don’t agree with some of his arguments but endorse his warnings about to what it will lead: the experience of Canada should be carefully considered.See:

Trust between voters and politicians on immigration has been completely lost.

The public are rightly furious at the extreme numbers they never voted for.

The only way to guarantee the promise to reduce net migration is to introduce a cap which would serve as a democratic lock.

I urge people to reflect on the implications of allowing assisted suicide. We simply can't write a law that will be safe for vulnerable people. Instead let's put our efforts into ensuring excellent palliative care for all so no one has to die in agony. thesun.co.uk/news/27584685/…

Government: ‘We need to protect children from smartphones/social media.’

Big Tech: ‘It’s not practical! It’s not possible! It’s an invasion of children’s privacy! It will stifle creativity!’

Translation: ‘We’ve been making $billions exploiting children and now they’re onto us!’
