We’ve just had a few forest and mountain-filled days away in Wales. Pleasantly surprised to find plenty of Bellflower (Campanula rotundifolia) still flowering high on the slopes of Skirrid Fawr.

Finally met the semi-mythical Fibrous Waxcap (Hygrocybe intermedia). Easily one of the biggest, and most striking, waxcaps I’ve encountered.

Had a lovely day #fungi hunting with Dr Richard Bate today. This one had us buzzing with excitement for a second until we spotted the green….! But what an absolutely gorgeous Parrot Waxcap, Gliophorus psittacinus, certainly the most striking one I’ve ever seen! 🦜
