Yesterday the #Environment Expert Session at the 10th Special Session of #AMCEN in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire officially opened. 🌍 This session focuses on the critical challenges at the intersection of #ClimateChange, #Peace, and #Security.

Meeting on the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution during the 10th Special Session of #AMCEN to provide a platform for Ministers to highlight strategic policy matters relating to the INC, including in the marine environment.

The international legally binding instrument could include both binding and voluntary approaches, based on a comprehensive approach that addresses the full life cycle of plastic-on-plastic pollution.
