This is outrageous. Mayor Muriel Bowser, DDOT DC, and some Council of DC members have dragged their feet on prioritizing safety for pedestrians for too long. We need a new DDOT director and a Council willing to revoke licenses after so many speeding violations (even if they are paid).

Interesting additional fact: This driver was pulled over driving another car in Maryland earlier this year and pleaded guilty to speeding. 11 months probation. Oh, and that car had $3,240 in unpaid traffic tickets in D.C. for speeding, red light running, etc.

More: This same Maryland driver had a long string of traffic offenses in Virginia from 2015 to 2017, including speeding (79 in a 55), failure to obey a traffic signal, and so on.
