In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, even on the joyous and sacred occasion of Eid, human blood continues to spill. There should have been a ceasefire, at least for Eid.

Pakhtunkhwa as a whole is a “remote area” and its people “invisible” for the “mainstream Pakistan”. Even a full fledged war in the province is being normalised. But the natural resources of the area are not only visible but are occupied by “safe hands” and being sold abroad.

It’s to realise that ending terrorism requires a change in mindset,not granting terrorists free rein to move into Pashtun areas&then conducting military ops against them there. Such actions leave Pashtuns traumatized, displacing them & subjecting them to violence and oppression 1
