COVER OF THE WEEK! Printing problems made the SENSATIONAL foil cover for SENSATIONAL SHE-HULK #1 arrive a week late. Adam Hughes did an UNBELIEVABLE job with it. My first foil cover in years and maybe the best I've worked on? By worked on, I mean I said, YOU ARE GREAT, ADAM!

Heads up to the Marvel fans at Lucca Comics & Games, starting today I’ll have ultra rare editions (only 25 copies printed) of Amazing Spider-Man 29 and Avengers 6 that I’ll be giving out to super fans I spot around the festival all week!

Last year, we hired five new Italian artists after portfolio reviews at Lucca Comics & Games, a record for any show since I started scouting talent. So yes, of course I'll be looking for new talent again at the con this week! Hope to see many of you in Tuscany in a few days.

This weekend I flew out to see Paul Smith and I scanned some art. Had fun catching up and talking about old movies and art. but the most fun was looking at all of his original art, it was truly a sight to behold. Down the line we'll see some books. I'm excited as hell!

The end of July/beginning of August is a good time for me. Thor 337 and Beta Ray Bill dropped 40 years ago today. Yesterday the 51st anniversary of my coming to NYC to try to get into comics. July 31st was the 50th anniversary of Detective Comics 437, first Manhunter story.

Unfortunately, like so many of my comic colleagues, I also came home from San Diego with Covid, so will not be at TERRIFICon this weekend. Hope everyone going to the CT show has a blast and enjoys the incredible line-up of guests. Be sure to get a clam & bacon pie at Pepe's!
