Its a mix, the book is basically designed so anyone can read it and absorb 95% of it. You wont fully appreciate perhaps 5% unless you are a pretty serious engineer, but the idea is that 5% isnt "unintelligible" its just material you wont absorb the full depth of. This would be

Consider signing this petition to oppose the closure of the Renault F1 engine plant at Viry in Paris. They do a lot with far less people and money than Mercedes. I`ve been there and met a lot of their designers (below), it would be a huge shame for French industry if this were

As you can see, WW1 aero engine quality control in the Royal Flying Corps was on an entirely different level of horror to that in WW2 Britain. I`m not sure this engine would even have made it as far as the "20 Minuite`ers" of Blackadder fame.

Hard to even know where to start with that one, but just to pick something the BRM-V16 supercharger IS a scaled down Merlin-61 two stage unit. RR were contacted to design the SC by BRM, but there was very little money, so instead of designing a new one, they scaled one they had
