Friday’s Fungi
A seemingly slow start to fungi season but at last some decent finds: Sulphur tuft spreading over deadwood, a strikingly red waxcap and an all time favourite, wood ear fungus.

Amongst the many Willow Warblers during our ringing session this morning was this Goldcrest, a ringing first for me and a Swallow (also a ringing first!) 😁 Hopefully they have a safe journey to wherever they end up going! 🐦

Super Sycamore 🌳
An ancient GIANT, on the edge of an Iron Age Hillfort in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Must be a good few hundred years old. Had to give it a hug and wish it well for another 100 years.
