Trump basically giving the Departed monologue: “I'm the guy that tells you there are guys you can hit and there's guys you can't. Now, that's not quite a guy you can't hit, but it’s almost a guy you can’t hit.”

The only procedural restraint on endless resolutions to remove the Speaker brought via QoP is the chair's right to ignore dilatory motions; all other mechanisms are political in nature.***

***Unless you count expulsion as procedural.

1) 'Johnson defeats'

No he didn't. Johnson had the exact same number of Republican dissenters as McCarthy. Democrats made the difference and carried the motion.

2) 'Kills motion'

Four of these voted against tabling Gaetz' resolution to remove McCarthy in October: Biggs, Crane, Davidson, and Spartz. Davidson and Spartz then flipped to vote against the underlying resolution. Eli Crane has said a lot of negative things about MTG's effort to remove Johnson

11 Republicans voted against tabling Greene's resolution to remove Johnson, the same number that voted against tabling Gaetz' resolution removing Kevin McCarthy.

The difference, and Mike Johnson's grip on the speakership for now, entirely depended on House Democrats.

While they vote, just noting that as a matter of House procedure the success of this motion to table does not prevent Greene or anyone else from forcing floor consideration of a resolution to remove Johnson again at a later date, and they may do so.

MTG's reading of her resolution to remove Mike Johnson is still in the 'whereas' section; the reading has been going on for longer than the length of the Temptations' Papa Was A Rolling Stone. The full version.
