If it had not been for the goodness of God, you wouldn’t be where you are. You could still be wounded; you could still be hurt. Yes, it was painful. It may not have been fair, but look at you now. You’re recovered, you’re healthy, you’re moving forward.

You don’t have to try to hide your scars, be embarrassed by what you’ve been through. You can be at peace with your scars. Those scars are your testimony. Those scars are your story.

It’s easy to think, “Nothing good is in my future, I’ve reached my limits.” That’s going to keep you where you are. What God promised you, is still going to happen.

Maybe someone has tried to name you average, not talented, unattractive, too many mistakes. God is saying to you, “I’m changing your name. I’m renaming you son of strength, daughter of destiny, child of influence, child of greatness.”

Don’t compare your life to other people. Run your race. God’s purpose for your life is not the same as theirs. Don’t look to the left or to the right. Stay focused on your calling.

God always ends on all is well. If all is not well, then it’s not the end. If it’s not good, then God is not done. It’s just another step on the way to fulfilling your purpose.

Have you let life name you—addicted, limited, always struggling—or do you go by what God named you: free, victorious, overcomer, well-able?

The delays, closed doors, people that walked away, were necessary. It was setting you up for this moment. The delay doesn’t mean that God said no; it just wasn’t the right time.

Don’t waste your time trying to win people over that are determined to misunderstand you. They’re not coming against you; they’re coming against the greatness God put in you.

The Scripture says, “Everything serves His plan.” We’re not going to understand everything that happens, but faith says, “God, this doesn’t make sense to me, but I trust You. I know it’s serving Your plan.” Nothing happens without God’s permission.

You may be in the middle of a setback, in the middle of a silent season, in the middle of mourning, that is not the end. God has a flourishing finish for you. He hasn’t brought you this far to leave you. Your greatest victories are not behind you; they’re in front of you.

Don’t get in agreement with the doubt; get in agreement with God. You don’t have to see how it’s going to happen; all you have to do is believe.

Despite the breakup, despite who walked away, despite the hurts and loneliness, that’s not how your story ends. That’s one chapter, but you have a whole book. You’re still going to laugh again, love again, dream again.

Why not be a believer and not a doubter. God is saying, despite the diagnoses, despite the setbacks, despite the delays, you’re still going to accomplish your dream, you’re still going to meet the right person.

God said in Philippians, “I will bring you to a flourishing finish.” Not a defeated finish, a bankrupt finish, a lonely finish, a betrayed finish, a depressed finish. God has a victorious finish for you.

We may have given up, but the good news is God hasn’t given up. He doesn’t cancel dreams. He’s called the Author and the Finisher of our faith.

Why don’t you invest some of your time, energy, and resources in someone else? Fight their giants, help their dreams come to pass. That cause is connected to your crown. That’s what’s going to open new doors to your destiny.

Sometimes we’re waiting for these big miracles, but there are miracles in the mundane. The fact that you’re alive is a miracle. You have people in your life to love; that’s a miracle. Don’t miss the moment because it looks common.

You may be outnumbered. What you’re up against may be stronger, more experienced, but don’t worry, you and God are a majority. Nothing can stand against our God.
