Fleming College added 3,379 international students in 1.5 years, and their Trebas Institute affiliate added 2,248. They had 8,000 international students out of 11,200 total students!

Over 5,600 international students out of nowhere for a college of only 3,200 domestic students.

How many international students were going to Fleming for Fish & Wildlife technology or Ecological Restoration? I think it goes beyond enrollment caps & is due to years of provincial underfunding that forced unsustainable dependence on other revenue streams to keep the lights on.

The programs cut will have long term consequences and could delay housing developments on brownfields as there may be a shortage of people trained to do environmental assessments in 5 to 10 years.

I am shocked at the axing of environmental programs at Fleming. Their environmental and fish & wildlife technology programs were nationally renowned. Make it make sense.
