We’ve made it to our final stop of the day — the U.S. Air Force Memorial. The memorial honors the service and heritage of the men and women of the Air Force and offers stunning views of the  Washington, D.C. skyline. #HonorFlightTLH

At Arlington National Cemetery, Veterans and Guardians witnessed the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and paid respects to the thousands who have given their lives for our freedom. #HonorFlightTLH

It may be raining but that doesn’t stop our Veterans! We just finished up at the Marine Corps War Memorial, which depicts the raising of the American flag during the Battle of Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945. #HonorFlightTLH

At the Lincoln Memorial, our Veterans are enjoying the 19-foot-tall marble statue of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. #HonorFlightTLH

Veterans are now making their way along the black granite wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which is etched with the names of the 58,318 men and women who died in combat or are listed as missing in action. #HonorFlightTLH

The Korean War Veterans Memorial offers a powerful display of the human cost of war. Veterans are exploring the memorial and reflecting on those who made the ultimate sacrifice. #HonorFlightTLH

Veterans are now exploring the World War II Memorial, which honors the more than 16 million members of the U.S. Armed Forces who served during the war as well as the countless Americans who supported war efforts on the home front. #HonorFlightTLH

We landed safely in Baltimore and our veterans received a warm welcome at the airport. Now, we’re headed to the World War II Memorial where we will lay a wreath to honor and remember our nation’s veterans. #HonorFlightTLH

On Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be a temporary westbound lane closure of Old St. Augustine Road, west of Blair Stone Road and across from 1689 Old St. Augustine Road. This closure is for electric facility maintenance.

On Saturday, April 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., there will be a temporary eastbound lane closure beginning on Lafayette St. at Magnolia Dr. and running east from Old St. Augustine Rd. to Capital Circle SW. This closure is for tree trimming along electric lines.
