This plane is producing a contrail above me right now. Notice how the vapor dissipates fairly quickly? This is because the humidity at that level is currently quite low. If it was more humid, the trail would stick around for a longer period of time & would maybe even spread out…

Very strong captured near Fryburg, OH earlier! Skip to 36 seconds and you can see horizontal vortices. Very scary situation over there.

Absolutely insane video of a tornado crossing the Ohio River into Kentucky earlier today.

Video is from Jenny Craghead on Facebook.

Super Rare to see the CG bolt in a Thundersnow event. As many times as I’ve been in it all I see is the flash and hear the thunder.

Destructive near I65 earlier near Nashville. You can see smoke from an explosion in the vertical winds. Terrible scenes of damage emerging

YES! Caught the opossum again gathering leaves for his burrow.

Opossums grab the leaves with their mouths, then pass them back to the front legs, then to the back legs, then to the tail! They use the tail to carry stuff!

this is why we leave the leaves 🥹.

Remember….

**There is no such thing as “heat lightning”. All lightning you see around here is from a thunderstorm. In summer they be well over 50,000 feet tall, and the lightning can be seen from 50-80 miles away. Too far away to hear thunder.**

Video from the 117th Air…
