Some news this morning: According to a source familiar with the office’s thinking, Jefferson County prosecutors are planning, as of now, to drop the charges against Scottie Scheffler early next week. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 am on Tuesday. No Laying Up

Will Zalatoris told me he believes PGA Championship tournament organizers should have held off play for four or five hours Friday morning, thoroughly investigated the fatality that caused the traffic backup, then brought the players in to play.

After starting the day by being arrested, then firing a 66 in the second round of the PGA Championship, Scottie Scheffler went to the practice green for more work.
Then signed autographs and took selfies all the way up the hill to the clubhouse before he left.

I asked Scottie Scheffler how he would encapsulate everything that happened to him Friday.
“My head’s still spinning. I can’t really explain what happened this morning. I did spend some time stretching in a jail cell. That was a first for me.”
