Our first new parking meters are live in Uptown Manhattan!
 
Each year, our parking meters produce enough paper receipts to stretch from NYC to LA. New meters allow users to simply enter their license plate number; a cleaner, greener, and simpler alternative to paper receipts.

We're gearing up for Bike to School Day, inviting students citywide to ride to class on 5/8, especially as part of volunteer-run Bike Buses: nyc.gov/html/dot/html/…

We're also relaunching our Get Kids Biking in-school initiative, which provides NYC Public Schools with cycling education

Pay-by-Plate is coming to NYC!

Tomorrow 5/8 crews will begin installing new parking meters in Upper Manhattan that allow drivers to enter their license plate number instead of displaying a receipt on their dashboard. The upgrades will continue to all 80k of NYC’s metered spaces.
