That's a Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation. I had the pleasure of flying in one of them many years ago. TWA used them regularly on their New York to London schedule. A great aeroplane

Had today's Buckingham Palace been a cricket match - with continuous rain in London - it would have been 'rain stopped play'. But the Royals and their Household supporters are made of sterner stuff. The show went ahead with umbrellas the most important fashion accessory.

We are honoured that His Majesty The King has chosen to continue his royal patronage of The Mary Rose Trust.

His Majesty first dived on the wreck site in 1975 and undertook some 10 dives between then and when the hull was raised in 1982.
