Just freaking INHALED my ARC of The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones - in one day. Absolutely bonkers, absolutely brutally dark and sharp and dreadfully funny and painfully tender in places. I was in tears at the end.

This is not as deep a review as I would write for a book that I read with my eyeballs. I listened to the audiobook on the libby app. You may be aware that Stephen Graham Jones rules. This is true and even though I am not into the slasher genre... davidagranoff.blogspot.com/2023/12/audiobâŠ
I couldn't wait any longer and started reading THE ANGEL AT INDIAN LAKE by Stephen Graham Jones. This is the conclusion to his Jade Daniels trilogy and is off to a great start! #LibraryReadingWed LibraryReads
Happy New Year to me! Look at this! Thank you NetGalley Simon & Schuster Atria Books Gallery Books for the ARCS! Seriously, this is so cool. Stephen Graham Jones Michael Koryta Emma Bamford (and donât worry Jonathan Janz, I just started COTD and itâs wonderful.) #NewBooks
Okay... I just recorded 2+ hours of conversation with John Langan!
We talk about the wider world of THE FISHERMAN. The short stories, the novellas, everything that ties into that mad mythos. As ever with John, it's a masterclass.
And it's out next week for you to listen to.
For anyone keeping track, book clubâs January Stephen Graham Jones pick is Mongrels! Iâm also planning on going for My Heart Is A Chainsaw, finally. In an ideal world, Iâll read Reaper in Feb, then hopefully be able to preorder so I can devour Angel in March. Cross your fingers for me!

Starting 2024 off right, emotionally WRECKED hehe only a few chapters in and I need someone to hold my hand through this, what am I reading? READING?? one does not simply READ Stephen Graham Jones to read it is to transcend reality, to even gaze upon the words is to be forever changed đ
Speaking of books, I have to share that I ended 2023 with Stephen Graham Jones's Mongrels, which emotionally rocked my world, and then his story Night of the Mannequins â whoo buddy, what a dark delight.
