A woman tweeted that her mother died of COVID last month and someone literally replied stating that 'COVID is mild for a majority of people.' That was his response to someone suffering from the loss of her mother.

Docs I've seen have explained away my positive lupus anticoagulant (LA) test results by saying LA is often positive following an infection. But is it the case that LA would return positive for 5 consecutive tests over a period of 2.5yrs following Covid? Is that normal?

Person in preanesthetic consult. Severe Long COVID ('persistent COVID' as we say in Spanish)

Apart from moderate dyspnea, PEM/PESE 😱, symptoms compatible with POTS. Sudden bouts of 'anxiety' (unrelated to psychic stimuli)

I was the 1st to explain them why it wasn't 'anxiety'

We can and should fight defeatism and nihilism. Governments need to step up and dramatically ramp up funding for research and trials.

'Placing faith in my post-COVID recovery'

Patients need hope, but this is an unacceptable state of affairs. We didn't let those dying of acute COVID19 'place faith' in their recovery in 2020, we launched rapid, comprehensive clinical trials.

If you're in the group 'didn't come for a blood test as too unwell or forgot' please can you give us another chance as we really need more volunteers who can get to us in London and want to help us understand this disease

Calling out to all interested in WILCO research: the LC landscape keeps changing and so do our research questions. We so urgently need more volunteers (and 'full recovery controls') who could get to us in W London for a blood test (and hoping to open more sites soon)

Shaney Wright I feel completely abandoned by the NHS. All you get is sympathetic shrugs and wise words about time being a great healer.

It’s now been over a year since were discovered in

So far every patient tested has them, control do not.

NIH denied Putrino Lab grant to further study — & no US researchers have attempted.

There is no urgency. Science isn’t moving “as fast as it can”.

This is what looks like if you do the right tests (instead of guessing):
A normal patient will have about 5% reduction in cerebral blood flow when tilted from supine to upright. Now read the green numbers in these LC pts: 😥
