Adding a lifetime allowance too simply forces the most productive staff to retire early.

That’s in EVERY sector, not just the NHS.

Doctors striking, leaving patients to suffer to get more ££, is morally wrong.

I am told the Gvmnt can’t make an offer during election period.

So to call a strike now is IMO to use patients as political pawns - causing harm to make some sort of political point. Outrageous.

Well that didn't take long! Reeves has just caved on VAT and used an issued quote to shift the Labour position to ruling out any increases, after months of trying to keep her options open.

Doesn't bode well for Labour's ability to stick to a position.

Announcing this during an election and on Labour’s health day shows this was only ever political and not about patients or staff.

This was an excellent speech by William Hague on why conservatives from all parts of the movement should care about the environment and its role in other issues like security, immigration, and the economy.
