With my former colleague and dear friend Roberto Gualtieri, mayor of Rome, I visited a project partially funded by 🇪🇺 Recovery Funds. This allows housing to stay available by renovating sustainably. Innovation, sustainability and just transition come together with this project.

I had the opportunity to take part in Al Gore's Climate Reality Leadership Training. Al Gore has been doing tremendous work in creating a worldwide network of climate contributors. I very much enjoyed engaging on 🇪🇺 climate policy in front of many committed participants.

Very good to meet 🇵🇹Minister for Energy and Environment Maria Graça Carvalho in Lisbon. We discussed her leading and constructive role in the EP and now at national level with the ambitious national climate neutrality target by 2045, and the next COP in Baku.

On the road to #COP29, I had a constructive discussion with 🇧🇩 Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Saber Hossain Chowdhury. Our cooperation with countries from across the globe is invaluable. We will continue to work together towards a successful COP29 in Baku.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the tragic plane crash in Vinhedo, Brazil. I express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, President Lula and the entire country. Europe mourns with you.

We stand with Greece as it battles devastating fires. The EU is sending support from its #rescEU fleet: two planes from Italy and a helicopter from France. Firefighting teams from Czechia and Romania are also being deployed. This is #EUSolidarity in action.
