Our new publication by Zhaowei Liu and Edo van Veen, et al, on the acquisition and analysis of correlative optical tweezers and confocal microscopy data now out in ACS Photonics. We also made a nice online user-friendly GUI for streamlined data analysis. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

New preprint! Congrats to Alison Farrar for superb work on turning "ribosome maps" into a way to detect #antibioticresistance quickly! One more fruit from our "collaborative tree" (with Christoffer Nellaker & Nicole Stoesser @ModMedMicro) planted using Oxford Martin School seeds!
Our tug-of-war paper is out! We discovered that the dynamics of the elongasome, the machinery responsible for synthesizing the sidewall of rod shaped bacteria, are regulated by molecular motor tug-of-war in B subtilis. Great work Stu Middlemiss and co! rdcu.be/dLYV0
Self-quenched fluorophores attached to short DNA labels increase signal/resolution and reduce background in DNA-PAINT and DNA-STED. We are glad that this follow-up story (more fluors) is now out in JPC. Thank you The Journal of Physical Chemistry and our great Editor Julie Biteen 🙏 Goethe-Universität
