In SE IA checking on #corn fungicide trial. July 9 (R1) = few plants with a single tar spot on one leaf in lower canopy. Today (+4weeks R4) = 1-few tar spots on ear leaf of all plants in control Fieldprophet risk <10% thru July. Too hot for tar? Did we need spray? Damon L. Smith

Snap to my girls! He was on brim of my hat 😳! LOTS of #corn disease at ISU Armstrong Farm in SW IA: tar, southern, common, gray, northern, Goss’s and bacterial blight! Total disease severity on ear leaf of control ~20-25%. Yield data should be interesting Corn Diseases
