We visited the (ultra)mafic Ransko Massif and old mining works. We observed magmatic rocks and mineralization and discuss the increasing relevance of orogenic intrusions worldwide and in Europe where the 340-350 Ma was particularly prolific. See you soon my SEMACRET people!

New work from our team exploits the association of komatiites from the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in Lapland, Finland (Paleoproterozoic- 2.05 Ga) to sulfur (S)-rich country rocks to assess their potential as source rocks for Cu-Ni(-PGE) deposits. link.springer.com/article/10.100…
