Can I just shout out the moms across Houston? The ones who work in government and the ones who make things work behind the scenes? My best sources all seem to be moms. They are exhausted yet tireless, and so generous with information, time I know they don't have, and resources.

If one more casual reader from the northeast comments “it’s Texas 🙄” … do you think the women here don’t deserve the things you deserve? Listen to yourselves.

Seven days ago, Hurricane Beryl tore through Houston. It left 13 dead and 2.26 million without power. Out of towners wondered: How could anyone possibly choose to live in this place? So I wrote Houston a love letter. (Gift link) Houston Chronicle houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t…

Does anyone have an “H-E-B story”? You met your spouse there, got food/supplies from H-E-B during a natural disaster, you got a job there when you really needed one, etc. Has H-E-B somehow altered the course of your life!? I want to hear your stories! Email [email protected]

Very mindful. Very demure.    See how we take a deep breathe, very mindful. We release the tension from our shoulders, very demure. We let the moment of now wash over us, very present. We relax, very calm.   How are you relaxing this National Relaxation Day?   #NASA

Fortitude. That is the word that NASA Astronaut & Commander Butch Wilmore recently used to describe the teams working on NASA’s The Boeing Company Crew Flight Test. I couldn’t agree more. Starliner is scheduled to autonomously undock from the space station at approximately 5:04 p.m. CDT
