Const Zuma was stationed at the Bellair police station in KZN.She died at the time when she was responding to a truck that had lost its load on the M7 highway in KZN.She had just entered the state vehicle after redirecting traffic when a truck drove into her killing her instantly

4 suspects have been shot and killed during confrontation with Western Cape police in Milnerton. Another four are in hospital.The 8 were allegedly on their way to commit a mass shooting. Five firearms have been recovered. Provincial Commissioner of WC, Lt Gen Patekile is on scene

Constable Makhathini was off-duty when he noticed a business robbery in progress in Escort KZN in Feb 2024.He placed himself on duty & drew his service pistol in a bid to stop the armed robbers from executing a robbery at a local tuck shop,he was shot and killed by those robbers

Sergeant Nkomo was shot and killed while waiting for help at a time when the state vehicle she was travelling in experienced a tyre puncture in EC. Her youngest child was 4years old at the time of her death.She will be remembered on Sunday(01SEPT) during SAPS commemoration day.

Sgt Khoza was attending to a complaint received of the negligent handling of a firearm in Masomonco village in KZN when he was shot& killed.He will be remembered tomorrow during the SAPS commemoration day at the Union Buildings where we will honour 39 officers who died on duty.

Captain Mvundlela was attached to the commercial crime investigation unit in EC and was leading investigations into several high profile cases including that of a lawyer defrauding Road Accident Fund. On the day when he was shot and killed, he was found with that docket on hand.

Constable Thango was 33 years old & had 5 years of service when he was shot and killed by armed suspects while responding to a business robbery in Vosloorus,Gauteng. He will be remembered with 38 other officers who died in the line of duty at SAPS Commemoration day on 1 SEPT

Sgt Morake’s life was cut short at the time when he was deployed to an accident scene on the N1 between Kroonstad and Ventersberg in the FS. While manning traffic,he was struck by a truck that failed to stop&died at the scene.He will be remembered on 01SEPT at the Union Building

[WEEKLY UPDATE] SAPS has through its weekly operations arrested 13 949 suspects from 26 Aug-01 SEPT. 4233 are wanted suspects for rape/murder. 161 firearms & 2689 rounds of ammo were confiscated, 41 guns were seized in KZN during operations.52 hijacked/stolen vehicles recovered

A joint investigation led by SAPS in Limpopo working closely with the Road Traffic Management Corporation has led to the arrest of 11 traffic officials for corruption. The traffic cops were being investigated for their involvement in corrupt related activities along major routes

6 Cash-In-Transit armed robbers have been fatally wounded following a shoot-out with GP police in Germiston.This was an intelligence led operation. GP Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni is on the scene (scene still active) 4 pistols and one AK47 seized

A South African & 2Mozambican kidnappers have been arrested for kidnapping a Pakistani businessman & for killing another Pakistani businessman.They were traced near Ennerdale in GP by SAPS organised crime.The trio had demanded ransom money from the family.Victim has been rescued

A joint operation between SAPS GP & NW police resulted in the arrest of a Mozambican national for the kidnapping and murder of Nomsa Jass. Jass went missing after leaving work in Potch on 26 Aug. Her decomposed body was found by SAPS in Carletonville. Her car was found in Springs

SAPS officers went beyond the call of duty when they came across an 8 yr old boy who did not have school uniform & was ashamed to go to school for fear of being ridiculed. SAPS officers stepped in and bought him school uniform,got him a hair cut & also threw him a bday party.
