Hi everyone!👋 Wondering if we have any early years teachers in nurseries or reception or year 1 who fancy writing a little 500 words for my next book “Early years essentials” - your name and role would be published in the book. For info please email me 🥰 [email protected]

An admission that means testing the WFA isn’t “fiscally significant,” and only represents 0.1 % of government spending, but is a defining political test. It’s a game of chess, with Labour sacrificing vulnerable pensioners like pawns, to show future political strength.

📢 Sharing this post again on Pension Credit because the eligibility rules are horribly complex. Receiving the full New State Pension doesn't automatically disqualify people from claiming PC. The leaflet and example cases by Potteries Gold provide a lot more information 👇

I’m led to believe from a reputable source (but I can’t personally say for sure), that he’s dyed it grey as part of a PR/Reputation Management effort in a bid to better identify with pensioners, to repair the damage caused by the across-the-board axing of the WFA.

I’ve invited professional financial experts, specialising in pensions, to write a guest post for my blog, explaining what the Government should do to make the pension system sustainable, and if means-testing the WFA is the right decision. They’ve refused. Anyone else willing?

Martin Daubney 🇬🇧 David Andrew Liz Kendall, Work and Pensions Secretary Shouting in the HoC right now. Taking WFA off pensioners But she herself claimed £352 in January for her own EDF fuel bill Hypocrisy. Nose in the trough politician #StarmerOut

Watching the Parliamentary debate live. Jesus Christ, the Tories were bad, but this awful Work and Pensions Secretary, Liz Kendall is right up there with them.

Parliament have voted by 348 to 228 (majority of 120), in favour of axing the WFA to pensioners not in receipt of Pension Credit. This is despite Labour’s own report showing it could kill up to 4,000 pensioners.

MPs voted by a majority of 120 to axe the WFA to pensioners not in receipt of Pension Credit. Personally, I don’t need it, and previously donated it to an age-related charity. But many pensioners who are fractionally above the credit threshold will miss out, as this shows ⬇️⬇️⬇️.

Keir will be looking on in absolute horror at what his Labour Party have done this afternoon. No…not Keir Starmer. He’s looking on with smug glee at the thought of his hands reddening with pensioners’ blood. I mean Keir Hardie. He’ll be spinning in his grave.

People seem to think that calling me a child when I'm 52 years of age, is somehow offensive. It really isn't. Thanks to everyone for your kind child/kid/young person comments this afternoon.
